Terisa Griffin is celebrating her birthday with lounge performances at City Winery Chicago on August 23rd, and City Winery Atlanta, Georgia August 27th.
Terisa promises a sensational, grown-up, jam where partygoers attend wearing their most dazzling pajama wear.

The starlit was bred in Monroe, Louisiana. She is classically trained in operatic singing, where she belts high notes and easily transitions to a soothing soulful number. "Acoustically, and more importantly, I can walk on stage with just a piano," Terisa says when describing the differences between acoustics, and singing over instruments. "I can walk on the stage with just a guitar. I don't need a lot, because God blessed me with a voice, and so I do enjoy acoustic sets more-so than a bunch of stuff plugged in. If you send me out there with a piano player, I can do a whole show. I can stand there and sing for a whole hour. I can pull'em all out, and it's going to be okay. I believe with my audience, they'll enjoy it because I'm going to concentrate on what it is that they want to hear."
Terisa attended Northern Louisiana University under a full scholarship before scorching the stage as background singer for Diana Ross on the Oprah Winfrey show. Showcasing her magnetic vocals early, Terisa toured with Jerry Butler. Some years later, she toured with the diva-dom, Patti Labelle in 2002.
The singer admits that she isn't a trendy singer, but she has to write and perform songs shes impassioned about.
As a dominant force on the singing circuit, Terisa knew that she was more than just background, although she doesn't shun those golden moments that added compass to her career. "It's been the most wonderful and beautiful-- Oh, my God! The experience has been infinitesimal in opportunities, and I've taken advantage of every opportunity I could," she said.
Terisa is a belle of soulful music rather than the unobtrusive talent. She has always given the main character vibes simply because she is. Terisa released her album, "Songbird" in 1998, and the 17 track album called My Naked Soul (2006). She released the EP Save Me in 2016, as well as the highly anticipated double album Soulzophrenic.
Knowing that in order to receive good things in life, she must give, so Terisa launched Better Love Yourself Inc, a program affording 1st generation students supplies necessary to succeed for college. "My Oscar is being able to help kids go off to college," she said.
In 2012, Terisa delighted viewers on season 3 of the voice. Terisa released Whenever You're With Me, a song dedication to her husband.
Teresa’s vocals are blended with a bit of nostalgia and sultry R&B. The provocative grown folks music reminiscent to the 90’s quiet hour of romance and lyrical stimulation.
Terisa can hit spine tingling notes and still keep it rousing with just the right synchronization of emotional delivery. She vocalized her appreciation in a sensual and adoring tone... “It's about my husband. I fell in love with a man, a man-man, a real man," she cooed proudly while smiling bashfully. Terisa came to the realization when they both caught Covid, that death do you part has meaning, and she never wanted to see the world or share the world without her husband.
Terisa said that she makes music that's emotive of good feelings... "We have a huge responsibility as musicians, to penetrate the world correctly," she explained.” When you're penetrating something, you're inserting yourself into it, and as we insert ourselves as artist into the world, what are we truly saying? What are we doing? When I walk on stage and I sing, what I choose to sing, how I choose to sing it's going to penetrate someone. Do I want to penetrate them with negative, nasty? Do I want it to be a heavy night? Do I want to bring somebody down? Is that how I want to penetrate them? Do I want to have them lifted, inspired, take them to a place where they can forget their problems for a while? Do I want to give them hope? As a musician, I say compare yourself to Lucifer and God."
Terisa says that she is living inside her answered prayers. She relies heavily on vision books, to manifest everything she wanted like her non-profit organization, her wedding ring, in addition to her home, and her electrifying music career.
The multifaceted singer finds solace in taking her rest, gardening, growing her own fruits and vegetables.
Terisa says that she’s encountered mainly good things while in pursuit of this happy stage of life.
She confirms that the music journey is both spiritual and purposeful. Terisa doesn’t claim to be perfect, because she is human and she makes mistakes. At the end of her span when she’s left all her talents behind, Terisa just wants to finish this world better than she found it.
