In a recent round table discussion, Redaric Williams talks about his ruthless role as "Kane" in BET’s (Black Entertainment Television) novice series Haus of Vicious.
The gorgeous actor, is widely known from his character Tyler Michelson from daytime drama, Young and The Restless (2012-2014).
He’s been protagonist as well as the antagonist in other movies when bargaining with matters of the heart. He’s a sharp and witty business man, with virtues. On the other hand he’s a wildling playboy who can’t get enough of women, even though he knows their expectations are lofty when it comes to love.
In “Haus of Vicious,” Williams sticks to his characters muddled reputation of being a contemptible ladies man, that’s married to successful couturier for Haus of “Vicious,” Chantel Williams (Tami Roman). Williams isn’t going to let her husband have all the fun, make no mistake about it. She’s savage to a degree with a dimming soft spot for her trifling, husband.
Tragedy, drama, sexcapades, and appendages of revenge follow the couple throughout the series. The maxim plays out in their lives like a chaotic game of Monopoly, “Where there is more money, there’s more problems.”
When asked asked about the sequences, and if this is the most despicable character that he's ever played, Williams responded, "It's yet to come, to he honest. There's one of the last scenes that I filmed that's pretty vicious. You know, pun intended," he joked.
"There's actually a show coming out on BET as well where I played manifestation of the devil, in the form of a record producer. So, I've played some villans; um, but this guy... I love it, though. I love it. As an actor, you really wanna have something that you can explore, and find new things and nuances. You can play around with, and mold it, so I never shy away from that, you know? It's a good character to play."
Redaric Williams played in other films like “Don’t Waste Your Pretty,” “Miss Me At Christmas,” in addition to television series the “Quad” just to name drop on a few popular shows.
He’s worked in film (Canada and United Kingdom) since the age of 11, but picked up modeling as a unlikely career after moving to New York once he’d gotten older— Meaning, it wasn’t his first choice, but as life would have it, he secured a contract that landed him into a spicy recurring role on CBS primetime soap, “The Young and the Restless.”
