JAZ-O The Man, The Myth, The Legend #HipHop


Writer, Producer and Emcee Jaz-O. When Jaz-O hit the music scene, he'd be known as one of the most didactic lyricist around who was a mentor to Jay-Z. Jaz-O started out under the pseudonym "The Originator, and even had a song by the same name, that featured a much younger Jay-Z long before there was a "Reasonable Doubt” album. His credits included The Lox's Demo, and that earned him a record deal with Bad Boys Records, “to featuring as well as produce Jay-Z's single "Aint No Playa," featuring Foxy Brown from Jay-Z's debut LP "Reasonable Doubt." The Originator also produced for P.Diddy "I Got The Power," from the Puffy's debut album No Way Out. Towards the end of the decade Jaz featured his former apprentice Jay-Z on "Jigga What, Jigga Who (Originator 99)"

Jaz-O released a single recently called "M-A-R-See-Why." It's a dedication to his orgin, Marcy Projects. Along with the single, he released another project, "The Warmup" on February of 2020.
