The second installment of An Evening of Smooth Jazz will bring together more of the genre's finest to the scenic Wolf Creek Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, June 23rd. Nine-time Grammy Nominated saxophonist Dave Koz will be joined by jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, Gerald Albright, reigning merchant of Soul Jazz, Richard Elliot, trumpet maestro Rick Braun, and Pieces of a Dream.

About Dave Koz This platinum-selling artist’s career spans more than three decades in which he has racked up an astoundingly impressive array of honors and achievements: nine GRAMMY® nominations, nine No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, numerous world tours, playing for multiple presidents, a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and more. Since the beginning of his career, Dave Koz has been all about shaking things up, dodging expectations and traditions. Late in 2017 Koz appeared as himself in a Hallmark movie called Sharing Christmas, which also used some of the music from the 20th Anniversary Christmas album. Koz is constantly touring, with annual summer and holiday tours. Another Summer Horns tour in conjunction with his new release kicked off this June.

About Gerald Albright This legendary artist’s self-produced music features him on bass guitar, keyboards, flutes, drum programming, and background vocals. He mastered his talent by working extensively in the studio with Anita Baker, Ray Parker, Jr., The Temptations and Olivia Newton-John. He has also toured with Jeff Lorber, Teena Marie, Quincy Jones, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, Johnny Hallyday, and many others. Albright released his latest album 30 on May 18, 2018 to celebrate the number of years since the release of his debut CD, Just Between Us.​ This self-produced anniversary project is a reflection of some of Albright’s favorite music that he has written over the past three decades! All of the songs are action-packed with new and unique arrangements, spear-headed by Albright, Chris “Big Dog” Davis, and James “JRob” Roberson.

About Richard Elliot Thirty-two years since the release of his debut album, Trolltown and twenty-four albums later, this saxophonist continues to wow his loyal fans. Elliot who draws on the influences of legends like Grover Washington, Jr., Bob James and David Sanborn has had one of the most dynamic and multifaceted careers by scoring four #1 albums (On The Town, Soul Embrace, After Dark and Jumpin’ Off) and a growing number of #1 airplay singles. In addition to his participation in all-star tours like Groovin’ For Grover and Jazz Attack, in the mid-‘90s he helped launch another of the genre’s annual franchises, the Guitars & Saxes tours, which he has participated in on and off ever since. At his peak, Elliot was doing over 100 tour dates a year.

About Rick Braun

This high-energy and charismatic trumpeter-flugelhorn player-vocalist has been a consistent chart-topper who has amassed a catalogue of No. 1 Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart and radio hits during his career. Grateful to still be making music with friends, Braun whose award-winning career spans jazz, pop and rock has not only crafted his own definitive hits that have been radio staples since the ‘90s, but has produced No. 1 hits for David Benoit, Marc Antoine and former Rod Stewart band sidekick Jeff Golub. He released his latest project, Around the Horn, in 2017.

About Pieces of a Dream

Pieces of a Dream emerged out of Philadelphia’s music scene over 40 years ago. The group first started playing throughout the Tri-State area, and were soon featured on Temple University’s pioneering jazz radio station, WRTI-FM.
