Music Engineer and Super-Producer, A1 Bentley Inks  Deal as an Independant Artist under the WAV Reco

Known as the spirited and loveble hubby to Lyrica Anderson on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood , Floyd (A1) Bentley, is doing projects behind the scenes aside from his cameo during Monday night rollouts for VH1.

For starters, Bentley worked on projects with numerous artist that struck the Urban Billboard and Pop Charts rather savagely.

He parlayed with Chris Brown for the release of 2015 album, Royalty. He also co-wrote the club banger, Party , for Brown’s album Heartbreak on a Full Moon.

Being the usual producer because he’s dangerously talented, Bentley worked on other stellar projects with artist such as Omarion, Gucci Mane, ASAP Rocky, Young Berg, Justine Skye, French Montana, and even his wife’s breakout single, Don’t Take It Personal.

The Kansas City (Missouri) native is quite vocal about his rise to fame, and how he pursued his dreams in spite of being homeless.

Humble beginnings, right?

Bentley is on a winning streak, making music, and cutting checks alongside the hottest entertainers in the game.

The artist came to Charlotte for a listening session where he talked about signing with WAV.

“I signed to WAV as a solo artist. It means a lot because I’m really stepping out as an artist. I’ve been behind the scenes for years as a producer/songwriter, so I’m excited to see how the world will accept me as an artist.”

Bentley crept from behind the scenes just like he stated, but he didn’t just come with a single to wet the whistle of listeners who might’ve questioned his talent as a lyricist, Bentley exploded with fire.

For his breakout single, he cut a record with Chris Breezy [Brown] and Ty Dollar $ign called Always.

SWV created the original texture of the song and A1 sampled a small portion— He modernized the cult classic, making it a tuneful hit.

“I moved to LA, to be a rapper, and when I got there, it was an ‘Oh, sh**!’ moment. I knew it was going to be tough because everybody was doing the same thing, so I got my foot in somewhere.

I started producing and learning how to write songs. I told myself when the time was right, then I would come out as an artist. The time is right, now, so I’m working with everybody and everybody is accepting me as an artist. I’m getting features from some of my favorite artist like Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign— Party Next Door just sent me some stuff. It’s an amazing feeling.”

Bentley said that he wants to hit the movies next on a “Top Gun” type mission.

His favorite studio sessions is with no other...

“I gotta say, of course, with my brother, Chris Brown.

It’s been real fun with Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih. One night, we were just kicking it, me and Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremiah, and Hitmaker, my brother and my busy partner. We just created a song and then we all vibes out. Now, we’re making an album with Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign.”

Bentley works in real-time with artist that’s consistent in the game. Yes, all accolades are ever so prevalent, but sustaining even after achievements is one of the most difficult things that an artist can do within the music industry.

That information solidifies one important fact— Bentley isn’t thirsting for an opportunities. Lyricist request to work with him because he’s uncompromisingly dope.

“It’s an amazing feeling. It’s not too much work for me that I can’t handle. Keep flooding me with work, no doubt.

Every day of life, I’ve made it. Just breathing, I made it. It isn’t about fame or money with me, it’s just [about] being happy. I made it.

Just keep supporting me. Just be happy.”
