ATLANTA, GA (February 9, 2018) To commemorate Black History Month, three local organizations have teamed up to take 50 teenage males from Southwest High School and Northeast Health Science Magnet High School in Macon, GA on a field trip to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, GA. This day-long trip will provide the students with the opportunity to learn the importance of the Civil Rights Movement and how it impacts their everyday lives. Attendees will be encouraged to discuss what they learned. Lunch will be provided and gift bags will be given to each teen. This event will be hosted at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, located at 100 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd NW in Atlanta, GA on February 23, 2018 from 9:30am to 5pm. “Every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
